Every month we will post an article of interest, such as craft related patterns and designs including knitting, beading, machine embroidery, crocheting as well as health and family issues. If you would like to send us a project we would love to hear from you. If a person can make a living from it these projects will receive preference. Appliquè There are many forms of doing appliquè. I have not given any instructions here on how to applique as there are many sites available providing instructions. If you do a google search for "applique instructions" you will find them. I am available for questions. This month we would like to give you an applique block to complete. It is for a teacup. Think of the quilts, tea cloths etcetera you can make. Your challenge is to send us the picture when you complete it so we can load it to show everyone. You can find the drawing here. FRIENDSHIP CLUB - Block Swop Our quilting block swop continues. The theme is "Outdoors". The backing fabric to be used must be tea or coffee dyed calico or seed cloth. Any colours to be used for appliqué's as long as they are 100% cotton and the applique must fill at least 60-70% of the square. These can be made into quilted wallhangings or potholders. For every block you send us we send you one in return. But please note that for international people, a fat quarter of 100% cotton will be accepted for the costs of the postage returned to you.
