INCHIE SWOP (Ongoing due to demand) and not just for quilter's!

Calling all inchie lovers!

Come participate in an inchie swop.  All you need to do is to make an inchie, send it to me and we swap with you.  This need not only be related to quilting.  For the quilters here is what you do:

Cut +- 10 inch square of 100% cotton fabric, batting the same size and backing to sandwich all together. Then you embellish it anyway you like, with threads, applique, beads, buttons - absolutely anything you want to. After you have decorated your square you then cut it into one inch pieces (hence the name inchies) and then overlock the edges to seal it into a mini quilt.  This should make 10 inchies.  Send them to us and we will send back as many to you as you send to us.

Oh, for the South African contributors, please add a self-addressed and stamped envelope when you post them to us.  For International members, please enclose half a fat quarter in place of the postage and envelope.

Crafters that do decoupage, scrapbooking and any other craft able to do inchies in any format may also participate.

This is fun, quick and easy.  You can make christmas decorations, hang the inchie on to your scissors, or handbag or decorate a lamp, curtain or anything you desire.  You can even write on the back of the inchie for a quick note given to some-one you want them to keep.  Do this with a pigment pen so it will not wash off the fabric.

Come on all, young and old and join in our "Inchie Swop".  Email your name to me to sign up.

There is another craft project on the Quilting page if you like Applique.

Let's have some fun.
